An important component in the process of creating an efficient market economy and democratic society is a dialogue among the government, business and civil society. Current global trends show a growing contribution of business to solving problems of sustainable economic development. In Kazakhstan, the practice of business participation in the development of society is poorly defined. The stage of development of corporate social responsibility (CSR) can be identified as a start.
The modern world is going through a complicated and contradictory period of transformation. Before our eyes entire regions and continents are being reformatted, global financial architecture is changing significantly, the balance of power in the international area is shifting and a multipolar world is gradually forming with BRICS as one of its main pillars. Modern BRICS is no longer just an acronym invented by the British economist Jim O’Neill, it is quite an influential informal interstate association with more than 2.83 billion people living on its territory.
The work researches basic tendencies and prospects of innovative development of the world, and promising markets with innovative science-technology products and services. Foundation of the economy of knowledge consists of human capital and intellectual property products. Additionally, the work studies the existing practice of the countries that are advanced in development and promotion of innovative activities, human resource and talent management, formation of innovative clusters and technology platforms.
The objectives of the state information policy are the publicizing and clarification of government initiatives, stability assurance, and promotional tasks. The effectiveness of ongoing governmental programs and other initiatives, peace and harmony in the society, and the image of the state bodies in general depend on the implementation of the information policy. And it is not only the profile ministry that is responsible for the effectiveness of the information policy, but also every government body. Meanwhile, the analysis of the government’s information work of recent years revealed a number of problems.
It has long been known that history repeats itself. And new economic, political, and military realities are often mistaken for the symptoms of future decline. Classic example – the brilliant work of the German philosopher O. Spengler “The Decline of the West”, in which the researcher concluded that the First World War and the transition of the Western world to Caesarism was a sign of decline and demise of the West. By the way, the title of this work was incorrectly translated to Russian language as “The Decline of Europe”, while its original title is “Der Untergang des Abendlandes”, which is more correctly translated as “The Decline of the West” or “The Death of the West”, especially considering the fact that O. Spengler included in the category of the West not only Europe, but also the United States and Japan.
The Director of the School of Economics, Academician of the Russian Academy of Science of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Economics Nekipelov A.D. and Dean of the faculty of political science of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, professor, Ph.D. Shutov A.Y. visited Astana on the 19-20th of September. As part of the visit a discussion on establishing close cooperation between the Lomonosov Moscow State University and International Scientific Complex “Astana” (ISC “Astana”) was held.
On the 20th of September, 2016 a Round table on the topic of “Pressing issues of modern economy and economic science at the present stage: international experience and prospects of Kazakhstan” was held in the International Scientific Complex “Astana”.
